Call or
E-mail your Elected officials
A call is the most direct and effective way of letting your officials
know your opinions. Below is a sample script of a message you could deliver
or cut and paste into an email message.
My name is _________.
I am work for the _____________.
I live in your district and I'm a member of the Texas State Employees
Union.
I am calling to ask you to do everything in your power to make sure
that state employees, including university workers, get a pay raise
this legislative session. State pay is too low. Turnover is crippling
our agency. State employees have been at the end of the priority list
for too long. Can we count on you to fight for our pay raise? Will you
please contact the members of the Appropriations Conference Committee
and ask them to find the money for our raise?
